Before cleaning sweep stone tile floors with a soft broom as rougher brooms can leave scratches. When cleaning and sealing real stone floors use a detergent formulated for calciferous stone travertine marble or limestone as general floor cleaner may contain acid that can etch the surface. Dip a scrub brush in the cleaner scrub for about 30 seconds and rinse all vinegar off your stone with a water dampened sponge. Do not use vinegar or chemicals on granite or marble tile floors.

Spray your flagstones with the vinegar and water solution being careful not to soak any nearby vegetation. Flagstone rock first became popular during the middle sges and is still quite fashionable today. A sponge can help to remove dirt and stains. Make sure you do not use apple cider vinegar balsamic vinegar or any other variety that is not clear as they can stain your flagstones.

Dilute detergent with water in a ratio of 1 5 and apply generously with a sponge. Even though flagstone is a rock it must be cleaned on a regular basis. Dry the area with a clean soft cloth. When you have to clean with soap make sure it is a neutral cleaner with a ph of about 7.

Mix a cleaning solution of one part water to one part white vinegar to clean colored grout.
